Since childhood, I have been intrigued with “checkerboard” surfaces. Here is my first attempt at Torroid; it was abandoned soon after.
Torroid is a Mobius Strip. It’s single surface is composed of 360 pieces, half each Oak and Maple.
This project was and is a study in patience.
